Subaru is making their official return to the Global Rallycross Championship for 2014 and they've put together quite the team of sports superstars to help them take home huge wins this season. Big names, such as Bucky Lasek, a world-renowned professional skateboarder, Sverre Isachsen, a former three-time European Rallycross champion, and Travis Pastrana, a motorsports extraordinaire, will each be representing Subaru at this year's championship, providing the automaker with nothing short of a dream team that is sure to make major headlines.

During this upcoming season, the Subaru team will be driving 2014 Subaru WRX STI Rallycross cars - each specially created by Subaru partner Vermont SportsCar. The WRX STI's turbocharged, 600 horsepower Subaru Boxer Engine and all-wheel drive system make it a perfect car for rallying and Subaru is already working on the 2015 STI, which is scheduled to make an appearance later this year.

"We've had the new 2015 Subaru STI in our shop for some time now, and are deep into the development process on this new car," explains Lance Smith, Team Principal at Vermont SportsCar. Our engineering team is extremely impressed with the advancement in chassis and handling performance. Both our Rally and Rallycross cars will take a big evolutionary step in performance with this new design."

Regardless of which model year STI they're driving, both Lasek and Isachsen have both expressed their excitement for the new season. Each driver was a part of Subaru's Rallycross team in 2013 and each had a successful season, making them eager to return again for 2014. Last year, Lasek earned the GRC Sportsman of the Year award, which was given to him by his fellow Rallycross peers, and Isachsen led the Subaru Rallycross program in total points and podiums.
