When Subaru officially announced that their midsize crossover SUV, the Tribeca, would be put to rest this year, there was no word as to what, or if, a new model would fill the newly opened spot. Many even thought the company would just move on with its current lineup; however, that doesn't seem to be the case. Never one to back down from a challenge, Subaru has decided to continue with their plan to nix the latest Tribeca, but they will be replacing it with a next-generation version. Set on reentering the midsize crossover segment, they hope to develop a model that will appeal to today's buyers and have an impact on the market.
Dominick Infante, Subaru's U.S. communications manager, announced the return of the Tribeca in a recent interview with Cars.com. He said that Subaru was "actively working" on the model and even announced that it will feature three-row seating. Aside from these small details, Infante did not reveal any other information about the all-new Tribeca's features, design elements or powertrains. Although, we do have high hopes for the upcoming model and expect it to come packed with a grand variety of fresh components that will put right in line with its top competition.
